OUR INITIATIVES

Kirwa …the dying dialect
ee-Yeiyo has established a special fund to revive the vanishing Meru language (Kirwa), foreign to the young generation.

Who are we?
This initiative will encourage children, the youth and others to learn and value their mother tongue through contest in song, dance, folklore, riddles, sayings, handicrafts (including traditional costume-making) and the preparation of traditional cuisine.

Changing Lives
We have created economic, social, environmental and cultural benefits for the local community, through:

  • employment,
  •  a tree planting  project - to help heal and restore our ailing environment,
  • Sponsorship of a cultural song and dance group, traditional choir and Varwa crafts making group.

ee-Yeiyo Scholarship Fund
An annual contribution towards education for Secondary school students (orphans).

The girl child
ee-Yeiyo sponsors a motivational forum for girls. Young girls are challenged and encouraged to work hard, be assertive and confident – the best they could be; and to say NO to HIV/AIDS.
